Davidson Homes Expands Leadership Team to Prepare for Next Stage of Growth
Company promotes Greg Duriez to chief operating officer, appoints Jeff Deane as chief financial officer
Today, we are announcing that we have bolstered our leadership team with the promotion of Greg Duriez to chief operating officer and the appointment of Jeff Deane as chief financial officer.

Duriez, who previously served as regional president, has more than 30 years of experience in the new home industry. Before joining Davidson Homes, Duriez was the Atlanta division president for Century Communities. He has worked for Pulte Homes, NVR Ryan Homes and KB Home. Duriez will oversee all ongoing operations in Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee and Texas and direct the company’s expansion into additional Southeast markets.

Deane brings 26 years of accounting, finance and operations experience to his role at Davidson Homes. Prior to joining the company, Deane had worked in homebuilding since 2005 with William Lyon Homes where he served in several leadership roles in finance, accounting and operations. Deane’s positions included vice president/regional controller, vice president of corporate accounting and finance, and vice president/division manager.
Davidson Homes was given Builder magazine’s “Biggest Mover” award in recognition of it being the fastest-growing home builder (ranked by percentage growth in closings) in the country in 2020. The company ranks #93 on the 2021 Builder 100 list of the largest home builders in the U.S.
Davidson Homes company currently owns or controls more than 8,000 lots in 73 communities in Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee and Texas. The company announced in April that it had entered the Texas market and has begun building in several communities in Houston. Texas is the fourth state the company has entered during the past four years.
